Accessibility Information
Property Accessibility
Rest on Main does not offer any handicap-accessible accommodations since the establishment is located within a facility that contains not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that is occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor. (5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b). § 36.104 Definitions). However, we are committed to doing whatever we reasonably can to make our property accessible.
We offer the following accessibility features:
We offer designated ADA parking with a level, adjacent loading area for easy unloading. There is also a covered loading and unloading area immediately adjacent for guests to unload during inclement weather. From there, a ramp leads directly to both the main entrance of the home and the private entrance to our ground-floor accessible room. In total, we provide five parking spaces for our four rooms, including reserved ADA parking.
We are exempt from providing ADA rooms, since the home was built in 1915.
Since our home was built in 1915, we don’t have elevators. Our hallways and doors should be wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs. Our Ground-Floor Getaway provides a private, covered entrance for ADA guests. This room is also located immediately adjacent and easily accessible to the kitchen, large living room, and parlor - all of which provide open spaces. Our other guest rooms are on the second floor, which is accessible only by stairs.
Our bathrooms do not feature any ADA features, but the private bathroom for the Ground-Floor Getaway (our ADA unit) is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair and provides extra room for maneuvering.
Our parlor includes seating areas with non-afixed seating, so we can accommodate a guest with a wheelchair if needed. The kitchen and living room provides ample open space for ADA guests to maneuver.

Accessible Room - Room 101
We have a first floor room with an exterior door, accessible ramp, and a clear path to all entrances to accommodate ADA guests.
